As we begin the new year lets start off with bang and reach out and remind another to check her breasts! At this time when we see those close to us, take advantage of the time and remind her to perform her Breast Self Exams monthly and or schedule her mammogram!Lets be proactive and alert as we move into the new year responcibly.

Welcome to Melanin & Pink Ribbons: A Blog for Black Women Fighting and Surviving Breast Cancer. It was born out of my personal journey as a patient not seeing very many images of women who looked like me fighting this disease. So, when I became a survivor, I did something about it.
