Positive Affirmations for Breast Cancer Survivors

The journey to survivorship to a long and winding road that is unique to each of us.  What is common for all survivors is the mental outlook is just as important as the physical treatment. In that vein the list of positive affirmations is meant as a starting point on the road to the new you:

  1. I am thankful to be a survivor.
  2. Despite the changes to my body, I am beautiful, sexy, and desirable.
  3. To be a breast cancer survivor makes me a conqueror.
  4. I am strong inside and out.
  5. My beauty is not wholly defined by my breasts.
  6. Healing is a promise, and I am committed to my mental and physical health.
  7. I love myself no matter what.

Continue to be committed to yourself and all that entails.

I know your focus is for breast cancer patients but this resonates with virtually all female reproductive system cancer survivors. You are doing a very important thing for many more sisters than you realize! I’m so proud of you Sis! 💖👩🏽‍🦱💪🏽

I thank you for your kind words. I try to be true to empowerment and engagement for fighters and survivors of color to eradicate the breast cancer stigma.

Welcome to Melanin & Pink Ribbons: A Blog for Black Women Fighting and Surviving Breast Cancer. It was born out of my personal journey as a patient not seeing very many images of women who looked like me fighting this disease. So, when I became a survivor, I did something about it. This is a space to learn and become empowered with information so we as a community can thrive into survivorship.
