I remember a song sung in church years ago named Fill My Cup. One of the lines in the song was “Fill my cup and let it overflow, Let if overflow with love.” This graphic brings that to mind because now is a time to fill your cup. Allow it to overflow with love or whatever else you have to give. My theory is you ae enough for yourself and you can give some away. Perhaps your caregiver needs some, maybe the nurse in the office but I guarantee someone around you needs something only you can give.

Welcome to Melanin & Pink Ribbons: A Blog for Black Women Fighting and Surviving Breast Cancer. It was born out of my personal journey as a patient not seeing very many images of women who looked like me fighting this disease. So, when I became a survivor, I did something about it.
