Breast Cancer and Vitamins

There is so much information on this topic of vitamins. Vitamins during treatment, after treatment and which vitamins to take when. Most of the information is conflicting and based on small trials. In addition I am unsure if any of this research had a significant number of women of color in the trials. With that being said I highly recommended speaking to your medical team.
Compose a list of supplements you want specific guidance on. That includes multivitamins, individual vitamins, probiotics and don’t forget about herbs. All these supplements can interact with medications your already taking. It’s best to use your doctor for optimum success in treatment or recovery. You will be happy to consulted a medical professional.

Welcome to Melanin & Pink Ribbons: A Blog for Black Women Fighting and Surviving Breast Cancer. It was born out of my personal journey as a patient not seeing very many images of women who looked like me fighting this disease. So, when I became a survivor, I did something about it. This is a space to learn and become empowered with information so we as a community can thrive into survivorship.
