On the first Wednesday of every month I promote BSE or Breast Self Exam. It is a tool in your selfcare tool kit to check your own breast for anything new. Make sure you perform it once a month for accuracy.

Welcome to Melanin & Pink Ribbons: A Blog for Black Women Fighting and Surviving Breast Cancer. It was born out of my personal journey as a patient not seeing very many images of women who looked like me fighting this disease. So, when I became a survivor, I did something about it.
