Positive Affirmations for Breast Cancer Fighters

According to positivepsychology.com on August 12, 2021, positive affirmations are defined as “positive phrases or statements used to challenge negative unhelpful thought.” They are generally repeated to aid in manifesting goals, relieving stress, and as positive reinforcement of changes the person wishes to make. The 16th-century French philosopher Rene’ Descartes stated “I think therefore I am.” Such wise counsel is necessary today and especially when facing a life challenge such as breast cancer. This post is a list of 7 positive affirmations for breast cancer fighters! It is my hope they strengthen the reader and provide a bit of control with solace on your journey.

  1. I accept my body is fighting to improve my health!
  2. The changes in my body during treatment are temporary!
  3. Breast cancer treatments may be lengthy, but my healthy body is worth it!
  4. I am beautiful yesterday, today and tomorrow!
  5. Good mental health is important to my healing process!
  6. Breast cancer does not define my self-image or self-worth!
  7. I love me!

I’m Cynthia

Welcome to Melanin & Pink Ribbons: A Blog for Black Women Fighting and Surviving Breast Cancer. It was born out of my personal journey as a patient not seeing very many images of women who looked like me fighting this disease. So, when I became a survivor, I did something about it. This is a space to learn and become empowered with information so we as a community can thrive into survivorship.
